Description:

The City is hosting a Community Open Day at the Edgewater Quarry site on Saturday 24 October from 9.00am – 12.00noon. Parking access is via Regatta Drive.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend to view the site and learn more about the proposed development. City officers will be available to answer questions and guided tours of the site will be conducted every 30 minutes. My Life – Keys to Independence Youth Skills Program

Learn the basics of making it on your own with this eight-week youth workshop series.

 

Thursdays from 24 October to 12 December 2019

5:00pm – 7:00pm

15 to 19 years

Cost: $40

Registrations essential.

  • Making Moolah and Ditching Debt

My Life – Keys to Independence is part of the City’s series of Youth Skills and Leadership Programs that run throughout school terms to develop young people’s abilities and awareness on a range of subjects.

 

Cancellations
A program will only be cancelled if there are insufficient enrolments received one day prior to the event or due to factors beyond the City’s control. In the event of cancellations relating to weather, safety or unforeseen circumstances, fees may not be refundable.

There will be no refunds issued for non-attendance unless the City is advised two full working days prior to the activity date along with presentation of a medical certificate. Please note: refunds may take up to four weeks to be processed. No other credits can be given.

Aloha Surfing and Late Night Movies (D, W, BYO, P)

For 14 – 18 years only

Beat winter and borrow the summer vibes by learning how to surf in the state of the art Aloha Surfhouse.

After you’ve dried off, join us for a new release late night movie at Grand Cinemas Joondalup.

The choice* of movies on offer is either:

*Times/movies can be subject to change last minute usually due to the Cinema’s discretion. Every effort will be made to let participants and their caregivers know of any changes to this however please note that this is not always within the City’s control due to time constraints on the day.

Registration and what to bring
Bookings close two days prior to the activity date.

Step 1 – BEFORE COMPLETING THE FORM BELOW: Ensure the participant is within the age range specified above prior to following the payment process. You will not be refunded if you incorrectly book for the wrong age.

Step 2 – Make sure the participant has completed the Youth Services Membership Form before completing the form below. Note: Only one membership form per young person is needed.

Step 3 – After registering, you will receive a confirmation email that contains information for what to bring on the day including:

  • Your ticket – can be physically printed or displayed on a smart phone on arrival.
  • Aloha Surfhouse Waiver – This must be completed prior to attending Anchors Youth Centre to participate in the surfing activity.

Fire and Emergency Services and Retro Ten Pin Bowling (BYO, P)

For 11 – 18 years

Try your hand at Rosemount Bowl’s retro bowling before heading into the city to get a tour of the fire trucks and how the Fire Department handles emergencies in Perth.
