This series of holistic workshops run in conjunction with Brave Heart Wellbeing and Claire Eaton, Youth Mindset Coach, will focus on providing females aged 11 - 14 years with skills to improve their understanding of body image and overall mental health and well being.
The program is designed into three core areas:
- Understanding Me: the girls will develop a greater understanding of what body image is and how internal and external factors influence their perception of body image.
- Accepting Me: the girls will begin the process of using their knowledge to understand and accept themselves including adjusting their perceptions to identify positive attributes and improve self esteem.
- Being Me: the girls will bring all factors together leading them to discover greater confidence within themselves and empowering them to accept and be their "best self".
Each workshop provides a safe and non-judgemental space where the girls will cover mindful body movement, group discussion and learning of different coping strategies for managing challenging times through personal and guided self care.
Participants will receive:
- Yoga mat
- A copy of “ROC and RISE: The teenager’s guide to building Resilience, Optimism and Confidence” by Claire Eaton, Youth Mindset Coach
