Do you want to know how to reduce your risk of a stroke?

Have you had a stroke and want to know more about living well?

Come and meet researchers from Edith Cowan University, at our pop-up event for Stroke Awareness Week.

Stroke is the leading cause of disability in Australia and the second biggest cause of death. More than 80% of strokes can be prevented, through diet, exercise and lifestyle, so come along and find out what you can do to reduce your risk of a stroke. ECU staff working in the areas of occupational therapy, dietetics and neurorehabilitation will be present. These researchers will show the latest technology they use in their research in order to improve motor function, cognition and fatigue after stroke. The stroke rehabilitation projects presented are part of a larger trial to improve quality of life in people living with a neurological condition.

So, drop in, get a health check, try the latest rehabilitation technologies and have the opportunity to talk to stroke researchers. No bookings required.

Visit the ECU website for information on current research.
