Archives are important because they hold much of our personal, family, local, national, economic and social memory.

The State Archives collection, held by the State Records Office and WA’s largest archival collection, comprises a treasure trove of information about Western Australia’s people and the development of our State.

Senior Archivist Gerard Foley will explain why Archives matter and why WA’s State Archives are essential for researching Western Australian family history, local history and any other kind of WA history.

For more information please call the City on 9400 4751.
