This fast-paced and engaging lecture details how and why the Cunard Queens were built, their impact on Britain’s recovery from the Great Depression and their outstanding military service during World War II.

Trace the role Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth played in the tourist boom of the 1940s and 1950s as well as their eventual decline and retirement. With wonderful historic video of both ship’s being launched, this lecture can’t be missed.
